Dr. Ramona Raj
Dr. Ramona Raj is a Board Certified Endocrinologist. She grew up in Upstate New York, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Chicago, and medical school at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She completed her internal medicine residency at a Columbia affiliate hospital in NYC. She completed her fellowship at the University of Virginia, a top rated hospital for Diabetes and Endocrinology (US News and World Report).
She is a published author and her papers include a review article on exercise for the prevention of obesity and diabetes in children (Clinics of Sports Medicine) and an original research article on the use of heel ultrasound for osteoporosis screening (Journal of Ultrasound).
Her clinical interests include the evaluation of thyroid nodules and the latest advancements in the management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, and swimming.
